14.12.2006 Vuoden 2006 Maailmankansalaisen kypsyyskokeen valtakunnalliset tunnustukset saivat Paula Tikka Oulun yliopistosta sekä Pauliina Lukkarila ja Anna-Reeta Pakarinen Oulun normaalikoulusta. Kasvatustieteitä opiskeleva Paula Tikka aloitti kypsyyskoetyönsä jo lukiossa opiskellessaan. Itsekriittisyys esti kuitenkin tuolloin työn palauttamisen, ja työ jäi sivuun vuosiksi. Työstä muodostui syvällinen pohdinta omasta kasvuprosessista kohti kansainvälisyyttä ja maailmankansalaisuutta.
